Koudijs Uganda at the Harvest Money Expo: Empowering Farmers for Success

The Harvest Money Expo is one of Uganda's premier agricultural events, bringing together stakeholders from the farming sector, including experts, suppliers, and farmers. This year’s expo was held at Namboole Stadium from 14th-16th February , attracting thousands of participants eager to learn and network. As a leading provider of high-quality animal nutrition solutions, we were proud to participate in this year’s edition alongside our parent company, De Heus Uganda, and sole distributor, Kaffika Animal Feeds. This reaffirms our commitment to supporting Ugandan farmers in achieving higher productivity and profitability.

Farmers who visited our booth had the opportunity to:

I. Learn about feed efficiency: We educated farmers on how to maximize productivity using Koudijs feeds and the importance of balanced nutrition for their livestock and poultry.
II. Receive expert advice: Our team of specialists provided tailored recommendations to help farmers overcome challenges such as understanding their raw materials and complete feed using our NIRS, efficient feed mixing, animal health issues, and market access.
III. Engage in knowledge-sharing: We hosted discussions on sustainable farming practices, farm management strategies, and the latest trends in the agricultural sector.

Koudijs Uganda’s Impact at the Expo

Our presence at the expo was centred on knowledge sharing, and engagement with farmers. We showcased our premium-quality animal feed solutions, provided expert guidance on best practices in livestock and poultry nutrition and knowledge tailored to the needs of both smallholder and large-scale farmers.

Training Sessions: Profitable Pig and Dairy Farming

During the expo, Koudijs Uganda also conducted specialized training sessions to equip farmers with practical knowledge and skills:
Profitable Pig Farming with Koudijs Feeds:  Led by Michael Buwembo, this session focused on Romelko and Creep Feed, highlighting best practices in nursing piglets and optimizing pig growth for better profitability.
Dairy Cattle Zero Grazing: Dr. Mukama Geoffrey trained farmers on appropriate feeds and farm management techniques to enhance dairy productivity and ensure sustainable farming operations.
These training sessions were well-received by farmers, providing them with actionable insights to improve their farming businesses.
